Vintage California Linen Postcard Along the Shore of the Pacific at Sunset Southern California
The back of this vintage postcard tells us:
In the founding of the Missions of California, Santa Barbara being the 10th, the Franciscan Padres established them a day's journey on foot apart. The path from Mission to Mission was called El Camino Real (The Kings Highway). It is so known today, but generally referred to as the Coast Highway and it is the main artery of travel between northern and southern California.
