Vintage Colorado White Border Postcard Manitou Pikes Peak Scenic Resort View 1920 Very Good Condition

posted in: US Views C

The back of this postcard tells us that the resort of Manitou Colorado is located at the base of Pikes Peak. Manitou is an Indian name, and the place was known as "Manitou", which, when translated, means Place of Reverence. The springs within the town limits, and which are so widely known, are nine - soda and iron. They are enclosed by basins and the waters are free.

This vintage white border postcard is used, postmarked 1923 and is in very good condition. Whomever carelessly tore off the postal stamp did so with less than a delicate touch - creating a crease in the upper right hand corner.

Published by HHT Co., Denver Colorado. Dating the actual postcard in the 1920's as it is a white border postcard.
